TOOLS Lashes: When it comes to your falsies, you have to choose between strips and individual lashes. The Unique Connection Between A Mother And Her Child “The Unique Connection”  is the ultimate proof that the bond between a mother and her child can never be broken. The participants in this simple experiment were mothers and their kids, aged 3-9. Every child was blindfolded and escorted in front of the group of moms. Children used their hands to look for similarities in clothing, faces and hands.  The Mom in me had me crying in the first 20 seconds.  Let me know your reaction! Each child, even though blindfolded, managed to find the person that gave them life, the person they know as mom. Take a look at the experiment because it’s a wonderful reminder of the special bond we have with our mothers!

The Basics of Organic It is important to choose organic food vs. non-organic food every time you go grocery shopping. Choosing organic food for your family is vital in order to keep them free of harmful and deadly chemicals.  Making the wise decision of choosing organic food also supports farmers and producers who believe in good health, quality foods and earth-friendly (though some like to say eco-friendly) sustainable agricultural practices. So what exactly does "organic" mean? Organic products are grown in environmentally friendly ways, without toxic or persistent agricultural chemicals. Organic agriculture is a production method that emphasizes the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality. In fact, since 2002, all organic food products sold in the US are required to meet strict Federal standards managed by the USDA . What about organic meat? Meat that is certified organic is from animals fed o...

Each Finger is Connected with 2 Organs Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient, Japanese healing art that helps you balance your emotions by stimulating certain points on your hands.  I don't know about you, but when I get a headache, I will start massaging my fingers to see if this works! Jin Shin Jyutsu is an alternative medicine based on your fingers, and her task is to balance your body energy and give your organism physical and emotional health. The basis of this philosophy is that each finger is connected with a certain organ and certain emotion . If you want to affect a certain organ, grab your finger with your other hand and squeeze it for 3-5 minutes. Take deep breaths while doing this. Massage each finger on your hand to get a perfect harmony in your body . Tumeric May Be The Most Effective Nutritional Supplement in Existence Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow color.  It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb.  Recently, science has started to back up what the Indians have known for a long time… it really does contain compounds with medicinal properties. These compounds are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin.  Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.  However, the curcumin content of turmeric is not that high… it’s around 3%, by weight. Most of the studies on this herb are using turmeric extracts that contain mostly curcumin itself, with dosages usually exceeding 1 gram per day. It would be very difficult to reach these levels just using the turmeric spice in your foods. Therefore, if you want to experience the full effects, then ...

What are Stem Cells Stem cells , which occur in living organisms (including the human body), are different from other cells for two reasons. One, they are capable of renewing themselves, and two, under certain conditions, they can be induced to become cells that serve specific functions. They’re important because of their regenerative properties—stem cells offer a new way to treat certain diseases, and are often used in labs for screening new drugs and other biological research.    The revolutionary idea behind stem cells in skin care is that by applying them topically, we can stimulate the growth of more stem cells . And because they can regenerate, they’ll keep our skin looking youthful and healthy. Most stem cells used in beauty products are derived from plants.  Research suggests that skin products containing stem cells can stimulate cell turnover and boost collagen . T he stem cell treatments we have tried certainly seem to be more effective and fa...
Aborted Fetal Cell Lines Used to Test Flavors For Food   This is so unbelievable but I had to share it so you are informed.  How is this even possible. Nestle, Merck and Pfizer are all partnered up with a biotech company called Senomyx "which uses HEK-293 (human embryonic kidney calls) to produce flavor enhancers for beverages and foods." According to the Senomyx website, "Using isolated human taste receptors, we created a proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor." The companies that have partnered with Senomyx "provide research and development funding plus royalties on sales of products using their flavor ingredients." What is not told is that HEK 293 cells are "human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors." There are many other types of cells both human and non-human ...

Sunscreen Protects Us From Aging Warm weather and getting out in the sun are upon us again!  Are you a sun worshiper?  I know I am guilty of this pleasure.  Do you dislike wearing sunscreen ?  I'm guilty of this too!  But the truth is, we really need to protect our skin while enjoying the sun.   Sunscreen protects us from aging and more importantly, from skin cancer.  Did you know that Melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer then all other cancers combined.  Skin Disease is the leading cause of death.  Over the past three decades, more people have had skin cancer more then all other cancers combined. Also more then 90 percent of aging skin is attributed to exposure to the sun. The great news is this can be prevented by simply wearing sunscreen .  Another bit of good news is that sunscreen has dramatically improved over the years.  Sunscreen isn't as heavy on the skin.  I know that I never liked the fac...
